Brain research also shows that music and art train the brain for higher thinking and reasoning skills. And physical exercise nourishes the brain with glucose and increases nerve connections, making it easier to learn. Yet music, phys. ed., and art classes are frequently sacrificed to budget cuts.
Many researchers suggest that if school administrators understood brain biology, schooling would look drastically different. Foreign languages and geometry would be offered much sooner, and music and physical education would be daily classes.
